Golf Course Opening           See the club as it is now

Myself (Sgt Alce) and Cpl Rycroft were the designers and founders in 1968 of the Golf course which started as a practise Tee and Green for us both to practise on as we were members of the RAF Watton Golf team. We then with the aid of several other personnel from the unit developed it into a 9 hole course for use by the RAF Personnel stationed at 204 Signals Unit. We used the old black wooden Thor missile units control and guard room as the club house and changing rooms. The photographs below show the first Tee off at the opening of the course by the Wing Commander (Sports) of Bomber Command.  I still carry my RAF Feltwell Golf membership badge on my Golf bag today (Number 70).
