BARLEY PAGE PORTER.  A few notes by Mrs Judith Porter

Barley was the second son of Thomas Porter, Joseph being the eldest and Jeremy Porter's great grandfather. There were 17 children born to Thomas and Jane and only 10 survived. Barley and Florence had two daughters, Margaret and Helen. Helen almost reached 100yrs, Florence had.


It is thought that  the two photographs below were taken at the back of The Wellington and the daughter in it is the eldest one, Margaret. Helen, who was about 6yrs younger, said that the family moved to Thetford when she was 12yrs old. Did Barley continue running his business here in Feltwell?
