FLOWERS.

Two Feltwell ladies were attending to their mothers' graves at St. Nicholas Churchyard. "You don't put no flowers on your mother's grave," said one of them. "No," said the other. "For all that she's as far into Heaven as your mother; may be a bit farther."

A CALAMITY.

Years ago a Feltwell Man, while at work, entered a barn and found another man there with a rope tied round his waist and the other end thrown over one of the beams. "What are you a-doing ? " asked the Feltwell man. "I'm a-hanging myself," said the other man. "That be'ant the way to do it," said the Feltwell man, "You should put it around your neck." "That's what I done," said the other man, "And that stopped my breath."
